This is a cake for Melissa Seng's wedding in North Carolina. Her aunt made the cake and iced it. I arrived a few days early to spend time with my friend and only made the purple icing to match her invitations and pipe the henna designs on after her aunt dropped off the cake.
I used a swiss meringue icing recipe and added violet gel coloring made by wilton.
The entire design was piped on using a piping bag and a no. 2 round tip.
